Brand strategy and innovation agency Redscout today announced the appointment of two new managing directors to support the company’s ongoing growth in the U.S. and Europe. Effective in May, Armando Turco becomes Managing Director in New York, and Colin Chow becomes Managing Director in San Francisco, leading Redscout’s flagship U.S. offices as the agency continues to win business (including A+E Networks, ADP, Gap, Quaker and Sony Music) and achieve record growth globally. They join forces with UK Managing Director Jason Cobbold, who launched the agency’s London office last year, and all three report to agency founder and CEO Jonah Disend.
“Clients are increasingly recognizing innovation as the most powerful form of marketing, creating more demand for Redscout’s expertise in the U.S. and Europe,” said Disend. “With the strong global leadership trifecta of Armando, Colin and Jason in place, we can more effectively lead product and service innovation globally, while building centers of excellence to serve each of our core markets.”
Colin Chow – Managing Director, San Francisco
Colin joins Redscout with nearly two decades of experience in brand strategy, audience insights and innovation, working with top global brands across categories. Most recently, he was EVP, Managing Director of Strategy at Sterling Brands, where he oversaw the brand consultancy’s West Coast strategy team and was responsible for all facets of business performance, growth and talent development. During 13 years at Sterling Brands, Colin has led domestic and global projects for clients including Disney, Facebook, Google, HBO, Microsoft, NBCU, Nike, the NFL, Red Bull, Taco Bell, Visa and Warner Bros. A graduate of Yale and Yale Law School, Colin launched his career at McKinsey & Co. in New York, where he worked with clients including MoMA, MLB, the NBA and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
“The West Coast is a thriving hub of innovation and opportunity, and clients are increasingly looking for an agency partner based there. Colin will help us take better advantage of our San Francisco location as we continue to define and create new futures for brands.”
Armando Turco - Managing Director, New York
With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Armando joins Redscout following a nine-year tenure at BBH New York, where he most recently was Head of Talent in North America, responsible for operations, recruitment and talent development. Previously, Armando was Head of Account Management and global client lead on world-renowned brands including AXE, LG, Sony PlayStation and Sprite, and he oversaw award-winning campaigns including “Susan Glenn” for AXE and the integrated PS4 launch that won eight Cannes Lions as the most successful gaming console launch in history. Prior to joining BBH, Armando held roles at McCann’s TAG, Bozell and Toys R Us.
“Armando embodies a rare combination of business acumen, deep client experience and a love of talent development that will help us take our business to the next level in New York and beyond,” said Disend.
